Natural cowhide tug
A perfect toy for dog sports
The essential ally for motivation, dog sports, and positive reinforcement
For many sporting dogs, tugging is a much more powerful motivator than a simple treat. Unlike synthetic plush toys, natural fur provides a supple texture and an authentic scent that instantly captivates your pet's attention.
🇫🇷 French artisanal craftsmanship: carefully made in a partner workshop in Dordogne (24), this motivational tug toy features reinforced stitching to withstand the most intense pulling.
🐮 Olfactory asset & dental protection: the natural scent of the fur awakens the dog's instinct while offering a soft grip that won't hurt gums or dental enamel.
🏃 A must-have for dog sports: the ideal reward tool to build drive before an agility run, reward hurdle jumps, or channel energy after a canicross or canitrail session.
🤝 Comfort handle with cushioning: the sturdy strap absorbs shocks and sudden pulls, protecting your shoulders and wrists during tug-of-war sessions.
🎯 Recall & self-control: ideal for working on the "drop it" command and capturing the dog's focus amidst distractions thanks to a high-value visual and olfactory stimulus.
🧼 Simple & eco-friendly maintenance: natural air-drying and gentle brushing are enough to remove dry dirt and preserve the quality of the leather.
Why use a natural material tug toy for dog sports?
Natural fur interaction toys trigger a spontaneous interest in dogs thanks to their real texture and scent. In dog sports (agility, flyball, ring), using a motivational tug allows you to reward speed and engagement without breaking the work rhythm as a treat would.
When to use this cowhide motivational tug?
- As a high-value reward: after a fast recall or the perfect execution of a technical sequence.
- During dog sports training: in agility, hoopers, flyball, or dog dancing to maintain a channeled level of excitement.
- While teaching "drop it" & control: to teach disengagement and how to stop playing calmly.
- To motivate dogs that aren't food-motivated: an excellent alternative to dog treats for highly playful individuals.
- To strengthen the dog-owner bond: a shared channel for play that develops complicity during every training session.

Can we play tug-of-war with this toy?
Absolutely. The braided handle allows you to play tug-of-war with your dog comfortably. However, it is advisable to set boundaries for the session and stop the game if your dog becomes overly excited.
Can it be used for fetch?
Yes, its handle makes it easy to throw the ball significantly further than a standard ball. It is the perfect accessory for dogs that love to chase their toy and bring it back to their human.
How do I clean a natural skin bite tug if it gets dirty with soil?
Let the bolster air dry (keep away from radiators so as not to dry out the leather). Once completely dry, use a soft brush to remove any dirt or sand residue. Never put it in the washing machine.
Can you let your dog play alone with the natural cowhide tug toy?
No, the cowhide interaction tug is an interactive dog toy designed to be shared with the owner. It is recommended to put it away after each training or play session in order to preserve its durability and maintain its high appeal.
