Dog Copenhagen harnesses are particularly appreciated for their ergonomics and quality.
They offer several advantages:
- excellent tension distribution
- precise adjustment
- optimal comfort for the dog
- great freedom of movement
Some models also offer multiple leash attachment points, allowing the harness to be adapted to the needs of the dog and its owner.
The harnesses are available in different sizes to suit all breeds, from small dogs to large dogs.
Walk Air or Walk Pro: which one to choose?
Dog Copenhagen offers two Y-harnesses that are very similar on paper: the Comfort Walk Air and the Comfort Walk Pro. They share 4 adjustment points, two leash attachment points (on the back and on the chest), 3M™ reflective strips, Duraflex™ buckles, and rust-proof aluminum hardware. Everything comes down to the chest plate and the padding.
-
Chest plate: slim and fitted on the Walk Air; wide and very covering on the Walk Pro.
-
Padding: airy and breathable on the Walk Air; thick and reinforced on the Walk Pro.
-
Wearing: the Walk Air remains lightweight and dries quickly; the Walk Pro is heavier, warmer, and holds water longer.
-
Putting it on: the Walk Air opens at the neck thanks to an aluminum attachment, which is practical for dogs that do not like having a harness passed over their head.
-
Handle: the Walk Pro adds a grab handle on the back.
The Walk Pro: a heavy harness that is too wide at the chest
With its reinforced padding and more covering chest plate, the Walk Pro incorporates much more material. In use, it is significantly heavier on the dog's back, warmer in summer, and takes longer to dry after a downpour or a swim.
Above all, its chest plate is too wide at the chest for the majority of dogs. On a slim, athletic, or medium-sized dog, it extends over the shoulders and can hinder the range of motion of the front legs, with a risk of chafing over time. It is only really suitable for dogs with a very broad chest.
Why we chose only the Walk Air
At CANI NINJA, we have made the choice to offer only the Dog Copenhagen Walk Air harness. Its thinner chest section makes it suitable for the majority of body types: it limits pressure points, prevents chafing, and leaves the shoulders free during walks.
Its lighter and more breathable materials dry much faster after rain or a swim. It is the best compromise between comfort, lightness, and freedom of movement, whether your dog is walking, running, or swimming.
To find the right size, measure your dog's chest circumference just behind the front legs, then refer to the size guide on the product page.
