KevytPomppa Green
Warm and Waterproof Green Coat
🚚 Shipped within 24h - Free delivery from €49
Is your dog getting older, losing hair, or shivering as soon as the temperature drops? The green KevytPomppa coat from the Finnish brand Pomppa was designed just for them: it is warm, waterproof, and, most importantly, very easy to put on.
It slides on without having to lift their paws and has no noisy Velcro. This is a true relief for a senior dog with arthritis, one who is recovering, or one with limited mobility who no longer likes being handled. The coat does not constrict the belly or joints, making it also suitable for post-surgery use.
- Anti-static synthetic fur lining: it retains body heat without causing tangles in the fur.
- Water-repellent and windproof polyester exterior: rain, wind, and snow stay out, and the fabric is breathable to prevent overheating.
- Full-coverage cut (back, thighs, neck) that follows the body without twisting while walking.
Available in 10 sizes (31 to 65), based on back length. Also measure the neck, chest, and waist circumference using the size guide. Machine washable at 30°C; do not use fabric softener.
The forest green color is understated for winter walks. For a dog that prefers to be spotted from a distance, it is also available in an orange version. Find all of our dog coats and our guide Pomppa Coats: protection against cold and rain.

Why put a coat on your dog?
Not all dogs are equal when it comes to the cold. In some situations, putting a coat on your dog is not a luxury, but a measure of comfort and health. Here are 5 cases where a coat is essential:
-
The puppy: Still in full development, a puppy has difficulty regulating its body temperature. A coat offers thermal protection during walks, especially in autumn or winter. It is a safety measure as it discovers the outside world.
-
The senior dog: Senior dogs have a less effective immune system and sometimes suffer from osteoarthritis. Cold weather accentuates these pains. A warm coat helps preserve their mobility and improve their comfort during walks.
-
Short-haired or cold-sensitive dogs: Whippets, Pinschers, Staffies, Bulldogs, or short-haired dogs have little to no protective undercoat. From 8 to 10°C, a coat becomes a useful barrier against humidity and cold.
-
Exceptionally low temperatures: Even a dog accustomed to the local climate can suffer from a sudden chill. Below 0°C, all dogs exposed outside for long periods should be protected, especially if they remain stationary.
- The winter sport dog: A dog that practices canicross, bikejoring, or hiking needs a technical coat to keep its muscles warm before and after exertion. This limits the risk of injury and improves recovery.
👉 In summary: putting a coat on your dog means supporting them as best as possible based on their age, build, and activity level, for safer and more comfortable walks, even in cold weather.
