The Hexa collar has excellent mechanical strength. However, if your dog pulls a lot on walks, it is always recommended to use a Y-harness to protect its cervical spine and trachea, while still using the collar to hold the identification tag.
What is the difference between the Hexa collar and a Biothane® collar?
The Hexa collar is lighter and more flexible than Biothane®, making it ideal for puppies and dogs under 15 kg. For large, very powerful dogs (+15 kg), we recommend a Biothane dog collar.
Can my dog swim regularly with this collar on?
Yes, Biothane® is 100% waterproof. It is resistant to both fresh and salt water, dries immediately, and does not retain bad odors after swimming.
Is the Black Hexa collar likely to stain light-colored fur when wet?
No, the synthetic Hexa material is solution-dyed. The collar does not bleed and will not stain your dog's fur, even when swimming or in a downpour.
How can I tell if the collar is adjusted correctly around the neck?
The fit is ideal when you can easily slide two fingers between the collar and your dog's skin. It should be snug enough not to slip over their head without restricting their breathing.
How do I clean the Hexa collar after a muddy outing?
It's the easiest model to maintain! Rinse it under warm tap water, wipe it with a dry cloth, and it's immediately ready for the next walk.
