Is the Biothane collar suitable for dogs that pull on the leash?
The Biothane collar has excellent mechanical strength. However, if your dog pulls a lot on walks, it is always recommended to use a Y-harness to protect its cervical spine and trachea, while keeping the collar to hold the identification tag.
What is the difference between the Hexa collar and a Biothane® collar?
The Hexa collar is lighter and more flexible than Biothane®, making it ideal for puppies and dogs under 15 kg. For large, very powerful dogs (+15 kg), we recommend a Biothane dog collar.
Can my dog swim regularly with this collar?
Yes, Biothane® is 100% waterproof. It is resistant to both fresh and salt water, dries immediately, and does not retain unpleasant odors after swimming.
Is Biothane® more durable than traditional leather?
Biothane® offers a breaking strength equal to or greater than leather, without the degradation caused by moisture. It does not crack, requires no conditioning, and retains its flexibility year after year.
How can I tell if the collar is adjusted correctly around the neck?
The adjustment is ideal when you can easily slide two fingers between the collar and your dog's skin. It should be snug enough not to slip over its head without restricting its breathing.
How to clean a Biothane collar after a muddy outing?
This is the easiest model to maintain! Rinse it under warm tap water, wipe it with a dry cloth, and it is immediately ready for the next walk.
